The Largest Mono-Print in Texas Printing Event

The Project: On September 17, in collaboration with Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, Art to the 3rd Power will be printing the largest mono-print in Texas using a steamroller.  The one-of-a-kind, three color, large-scale print event will be happening from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center parking lot.  During the event, artists Kim Bishop, Paul Karam, and Luis Valderas, known collectively as Art to the 3rd Power, will create 33 unique collaborative prints that will later be assembled into the largest mono-print in Texas!

The Image: Entitled "Who Are We? Where Do We Come From? Where Are We Going?", the mono-print image examines cultural iconography from three different perspectives.  Influenced in part by Gauguin's painting by the same name, the mono-print image explores Western European beliefs with ancient Meso-American beliefs and questions where the mingling of those ideas leaves us today.
