Cinco de Mayo Openings and Iron Pour

Blue Star Contemporary Art Center's Cinco De Mayo Event is opening at the Blue Star LAB, with a new exhibition entitled Kind of Undisputed, featuring Mat Kubo, Scott Proctor, Tim Schmidt, and Troy Stanley, curated by Techang.

Texas Biennial: Jade Walker, featuring Jade Walker and curated by Virgina Rutledge as part of the 2011 Texas Biennial will also hold its opening reception on the evening of May 5th from 6 to 9 pm.

Along with these openings, for one night only, Jack Gron will perform a live iron-pour in the Blue Star Contemporary Art Center parking lot.  Everyone is invited to watch the iron-pour and, for $20, viewers can participate by creating their own unique piece!

The Blue Star bus will be running that evening to shuttle patrons between the two locations.  Mickey House will be performing at the Blue Star Main Campus.

Blue Star LAB is located at 114 Broadway, in the heart of downton, and is generously made possible by Zurich International Properties.  Music coordinated by Lonestar Studios.

Blue Star Contemporary Art Center is located at 116 Blue Star, off of S. Alamo Street, in the Blue Star Arts Complex.
