Laurel Gibson Community Ceramics Workshop

FreeLocal ceramic artist Laurel Gibson will give a free community workshop that combines natural elements and ceramics. Participants will complete a nature study in beautiful Comanche Lookout Park, right outside the Semmes Branch Library, and will then use that study to create a unique ceramic tile. This workshop is open to all community members age 12 and up and is presented free of charge by Blue Star Contemporary Art Center.
A reception to mark the opening of Laurel Gibson's Mater Terra and the ARTsmart MOSAIC student's New Crew Works exhibitions in the Semmes Branch galleries will follow from 4:00 - 5:00 pm.
Reservations for the workshop are preferred, but not required, and can be made by calling 210.227.6960 or emailing Emily R. Barker at emily@bluestarart.org.
The Semmes Branch of the San Antonio Public Library is located at 15060 Judson Road.
