On June 3, 2010, Blue Star Contemporary Art Center will officially open Blue Star_Lab.  Blue Star_Lab, an annex of Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, is a venue that allows for expanded exhibitions from the Blue Star Main Campus, as well as the promotion of experimental work.  The first exhibition at Blue Star_Lab will be Fire in the Belly, a joint-show with Blue Star's Middle Gallery.

The opening reception will feature live music by Diego Bernal and The Colt of Us in Best Buy Alley at Blue Star_Lab and by Mickey House at the Main Campus. Parking is available at the Blue Star Arts Complex and at behind Blue Star_Lab at the Alamo & Travis intersection. The Blue Star Bus will provide complimentary shuttle service between the two locations on the evening of the opening.

Blue Star_Lab is located downtown, at 114 Broadway.

Hours: Thursday & Friday, noon - 6 pm, and by appointment at 210.227.6960.
