New Admission Policy
WHEN: As of May 31st, 2012, Blue Star Contemporary Art Center will introduce and implement an admission policy: members will be admitted free of charge, as will students and active military/veterans with valid I.D.'s; children ages 11 and under will be admitted free of charge; Senior (65+) admission will be $3 and non-member adult admission will be $5.
First Fridays will remain free and open to the public as will Tuesdays. Please visit our website at http://bluestarart.org/support for more information on membership.
WHY: Blue Star Contemporary Art Center, San Antonio’s first and longest running contemporary visual art institution, is committed to the growth and understanding of contemporary art, the development of both the art community and community at large, and educational programming. Funds from the admission charge will support the continuation of a dynamic exhibition schedule, programming and MOSAIC, Blue Star’s free after-school arts education program.
